Ohsaka commented, "At first, he is timid and lacks any teacherly authority, but as he interacts with the students, his inherent kindness makes him a beloved character... I think. It's a long-standing series, and I'm doing my best in many ways! The recording atmosphere is relaxed, like a classroom, so please enjoy it at ease. Thank you!"

The staff includes Deko Akao in charge of series composition, Natsuki as the character designer, animation production by Satelight, and Katsumi Ono as the director. Additionally, from the 4th, one cast member will be revealed daily.

The story follows the weak and timid new teacher Seimei Abe, whose first assignment is at "Hyakki Academy," where monsters from all over Japan gather. Despite becoming the teacher he always dreamed of in April when cherry blossoms are in full bloom, Seimei is greeted in the classroom by a parade of excessively monstrous students, including the "Plague God," "Gashadokuro," and "One-Eyed Boy."

Furthermore, his colleagues include "Shuten-douji" and "Kamaitachi," and the principal is the elusive and mysterious "Nurarihyon," who always wears a mask. Despite supposedly having mysterious powers to repel monsters, Seimei is constantly overwhelmed by the unique and diverse group, making his dream of a peaceful school life seem impossible. This is a fun, thrilling, and monster-filled school comedy that is light-hearted, passionate, mischievous, noisy, and tear-jerking.
