Pierrot’s Magical Girl Series Returns with New Anime After 26 Years
On the 29th, anime production company Studio Pierrot announced that they will be creating a new TV anime for their “Pierrot Magical Girl Series.” This marks the first new TV series in 26 years since the broadcast of "Fancy Lala" in 1998.

This new production commemorates the 40th anniversary of the final episode of the first series in the lineup, "Magical Angel Creamy Mami," which aired exactly 40 years ago today on the 29th. Along with the announcement, a concept illustration and a promotional video for the new "Pierrot Magical Girl Series" were released.

The “Pierrot Magical Girl Series” includes titles produced by Studio Pierrot from 1983 to 1998. These titles are:
"Magical Angel Creamy Mami" (1983-1984)
"Magical Fairy Persia" (1984-1985)
"Magical Star Magical Emi" (1985-1986)
"Magical Idol Pastel Yumi" (1986)
"Fancy Lala" (1998)
These series have garnered a loyal fanbase over the years.
