The manga "Fushigi Yugi: Byakko Senki" by Yuu Watase has resumed serialization after a six-year hiatus in the July issue of "Monthly Flowers," released today, May 28. The series returns with a cover feature and opening color pages.

The magazine includes a comprehensive feature on Watase, delving into the secrets of her creative process, along with a special interview and a retrospective on her 35-year career.

Additionally, the issue includes a 132-page bonus booklet titled "Fushigi Yugi: Byakko Senki Kaizu," which contains an unreleased special story "Byakko Ibun," the first chapter of "Byakko Senki," and a travelogue from Watase's research trips.

About the Fushigi Yugi Series

The "Fushigi Yugi" series began serialization in 1992. "Byakko Senki" follows the story of Suzuno, a girl destined to become the Priestess of Byakko, as she faces a harsh fate within the "Universe of the Four Gods." The series started in 2017 but was on hiatus due to the author's health issues.
