Oh!Great’s New Manga Series 'Kaijin Fugeki' Starts, Reveals Debt Motivation from Pachinko
Oh!Great, the renowned manga artist known for works such as "Air Gear" and "Tenjho Tenge(天上天下)," has launched a new series titled "Kaijin Fugeki(灰仭巫覡)," starting in the 26th issue of Weekly Shonen Magazine, released on the 29th.
In the same magazine, Oh!Great is featured in an interview where he reveals the unconventional reason that led him to pursue a career in manga: "I had accumulated debt from playing pachinko, so I submitted my work to a manga magazine's competition to pay it off (laughs). Although I won, the prize was a 100,000 yen gift certificate, not cash (laughs)."
In addition to the new series, a special promotion is running on Magapoke until June 4th, offering all but the final three chapters of "Air Gear" and "Bakemonogatari" for free.
