The visual, rich with life, signifies the beginning of an epic story set in the great outdoors. According to director Chris Sanders, the character design of Roz is inspired by the robots from Hayao Miyazaki’s "Castle in the Sky." To make Roz a more relatable character, Sanders states, "We wanted everything about Roz to be conveyed through her actions, movements, and eyes. We worked hard to make her eyes, though 100% mechanical, very expressive." This simplicity and strength in design are evident in Roz's appearance.

New scene photos have also been released, showing Roz waking up on the wild island after a storm, blushing when touched by the gosling who thinks she is its mother, encountering a swarm of butterflies, and gazing into the distance at sunset. Although Roz was programmed solely to assist humans, unexpected changes begin to manifest within her. What will become of Roz on this harsh, wild island?

The film is based on the children's book series "The Wild Robot" by American author Peter Brown. The first book, published in 2016, topped The New York Times bestseller list and became a significant phenomenon, winning numerous literary awards, including the Children’s Choice Book Awards Illustrator of the Year and The New York Times Best Illustrated Children's Book Award.
