Kingdom Vol. 80 Tops Japan Weekly Manga Sales as Entire Top 10 Turns Over

Kingdom Vol. 80 claimed No. 1 in Japan's latest weekly manga sales ranking with an estimated 280,215 copies sold. Blue Lock Vol. 40 followed at No. 2 with 94,251 copies, while Black Lagoon Vol. 14 ranked third with 72,538. Every title in the current Top 10 is a new entry compared with the previous week's Top 10. The ranking is based on Oricon's estimated weekly physical book sales in Japan.

Kingdom Vol. 80 creates a wide gap at No. 1

Kingdom Vol. 80 sold an estimated 280,215 copies, almost three times the 94,251 copies recorded by Blue Lock Vol. 40 at No. 2. The gap between first and second place was 185,964 copies. Kingdom alone represented 45.1% of the total estimated sales generated by this week's Top 10, making the top of the chart unusually concentrated around a single title.

The entire Top 10 turns over

None of the current Top 10 ISBNs appeared in the previous week's Top 10. All 10 titles also have a chart appearance count of one in the supplied data, so each is classified as a new entry for this comparison.

The combined estimated sales of the current Top 10 reached 620,992 copies, compared with 246,499 for the previous Top 10, an increase of 151.9%. This comparison reflects only the titles appearing in each week's Top 10, not the manga market as a whole.

Three publishers split the podium

The Top 3 came from three different publishers: Shueisha with Kingdom Vol. 80, Kodansha with Blue Lock Vol. 40, and Shogakukan with Black Lagoon Vol. 14.

Across the full Top 10, Shueisha titles generated 320,219 estimated copies, or 51.6% of the total. Kodansha accounted for 163,377 copies (26.3%), Shogakukan for 119,360 (19.2%), and Overlap for 18,036 (2.9%).
