BLUE LOCK Live Action Movie Reveals New Visual and Additional Cast Including Ryota Miura

BLUE LOCK live action movie has revealed additional cast members and a new visual for its August 7 release.

Additional Cast Members Revealed

The newly announced cast includes Sosho Tomimoto as Ikki Niko of Team Y, a cerebral player whose weapon is calm analytical ability. Keisuke Kida will play Hibiki Okawa, also of Team Y, who overwhelms viewers with his unwavering physical strength and powerful shots.

Keisuke Higashi will play Shoei Barou of Team X, who declares himself the king of the field. Ryota Miura will take on dual roles as the Team W twins Junichi Wanima and Keisuke Wanima, who confuse opponents with perfect teamwork.

A New Visual Featuring 20 Strikers

The newly released visual brings together 20 strikers, including Fumiya Takahashi as Yoichi Isagi, members of Team Z, Team V, and the newly announced players from Team Y, Team X, and Team W.

The visual captures the players exposing their egos as they race toward their goal of becoming the world’s greatest striker. It will be displayed as a large banner in theaters across Japan from May 15.

About BLUE LOCK

BLUE LOCK is based on the soccer manga serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine. The story follows Yoichi Isagi, an unknown high school forward, as he battles fierce rivals and grows into a striker capable of revolutionizing Japanese soccer.

The story is set around the Blue Lock project, launched by the Japan Football Union to develop a striker who can lead Japan to victory in the FIFA World Cup. Three hundred high school forwards gathered from across Japan take part in a brutal survival competition.

The manga has surpassed 50 million copies in circulation. The first season of the TV anime aired from October 2022 to March 2023, while the second season aired from October to December 2024. The series was also adapted into a game in 2022 and a stage play in 2023. A sequel to the anime has also been confirmed.

The live action film is produced by CREDEUS, known for the Kingdom series, the Golden Kamuy series, and Kokuho.
