The final episode (Episode 8) of the highly popular anime "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - Hashira Training Arc" will air on Fuji TV on the 30th. To commemorate this, a special climax screening event will be held on the same day at TOHO Cinemas Shinjuku, with Toshiyuki Morikawa (as Kagaya Ubuyashiki) and Toshihiko Seki (as Muzan Kibutsuji) making appearances.

During the event, Episodes 7 and 8 will be screened back-to-back, followed by a talk stage. The event will be held in the evening to coincide with the TV broadcast of Episode 8, and the talk stage will be streamed live for free on Aniplex's official YouTube channel.

The final episode will be expanded to a 60-minute broadcast. The "Hashira Training Arc" is an episode spanning volumes 15 to 16 of the original manga, in which Tanjiro and his comrades undergo training from the highest-ranking swordsmen of the Demon Slayer Corps, the Hashira, to become stronger.

"Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" is based on the manga of the same name, serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" from February 2016 to May 2020, and has surpassed 150 million copies in circulation. Set in the Taisho era in a world inhabited by man-eating demons, it follows the story of Tanjiro Kamado, a boy whose family is slaughtered by demons and whose sister, Nezuko, is turned into a demon. Tanjiro joins the Demon Slayer Corps to avenge his family and find a way to turn Nezuko back into a human.

The first season of the TV anime aired from April to September 2019, becoming a social phenomenon. The movie "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train," which connects to the final episode of the anime, was released in October 2020 and became a massive hit with over 40 billion yen in domestic box office revenue. Following this, the second season "Entertainment District Arc" aired from December 2021, and the third season "Swordsmith Village Arc" aired from April 2023.
