Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Iguro & Mitsuri Two-Shot! New Illustration with Smiling Letters & Pancakes Revealed
On ufotable's official X account, a new illustration from the upcoming TV anime "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira Training Arc" has been released. The image features the Serpent Hashira, Iguro Obanai, and the Love Hashira, Kanroji Mitsuri.
The illustration shows the two exchanging letters with smiles, and Mitsuri is seen eating pancakes. The "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira Training Arc" covers the episodes from volumes 15 to 16 of the original manga, where Tanjiro and his friends undergo training from the highest-ranking swordsmen, the Hashira, to become stronger.
"Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" is based on the manga of the same name, serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" from February 2016 to May 2020, and has surpassed 150 million copies in circulation. Set in a world inhabited by man-eating demons during the Taisho era, the story follows a boy named Tanjiro Kamado, whose family is slaughtered by demons. He joins the Demon Slayer Corps to avenge his family and to find a way to turn his demon-turned sister, Nezuko, back into a human.
The first season of the TV anime aired from April to September 2019, igniting its popularity and becoming a social phenomenon. The movie "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Mugen Train," which continues the story from the final episode of the anime, was released in October 2020, grossing over 40 billion yen in Japan. The second season, "Entertainment District Arc," aired from December 2021, and the third season, "Swordsmith Village Arc," began airing in April 2023.
