New Short Anime “I Am a Hero Too” Adapted from Fanbook Story
The anime I Am a Hero Too is based on a special one-shot story created by Kohei Horikoshi for the official fanbook My Hero Academia Ultra Age, released in December 2024. The short story received strong reactions from fans upon its release.
The story focuses on Eri, the young girl rescued by Izuku Midoriya from Kai Chisaki, also known as Overhaul, during the Shie Hassaikai arc of Season 4. Eight years after Deku and his classmates graduate from U.A. High School, Eri has grown into a high school student.
Once a child who expressed her wish to sing, and later seen smiling with a guitar case in the series finale, Eri visits U.A. High School again and begins to pursue her dreams anew. The anime adaptation will feature special direction to bring this short yet impactful story to life.
Despite being a short story, the original manga drew significant attention from fans. With its adaptation into I Am a Hero Too, the anime is expected to present the story with unique visual storytelling elements.
The release is scheduled for this summer, with further details such as distribution platforms to be announced at a later date.
