Cast Reflects on the Massive Impact of the Reze Arc

When asked about the public reaction to the film, which defined 2025, Kikunosuke Toya shared a heartwarming story. He noted that while many people told him they watched the movie, he was particularly moved by a connection with a recording mixer he regularly works with. Although they had rarely spoken before, the mixer mentioned that his son is a huge fan of Chainsaw Man and had even gone on a pilgrimage to real-life locations featured in the series. Toya expressed his happiness at the new bond formed through the work.

Shogo Sakata added with a smile that an audio director he often works with on drama CDs saw the movie five times and explained its merits in great detail. He also mentioned receiving a LINE message from a friend he had not heard from in two years just to say they had watched it.

Karin Takahashi amused the audience by sharing that while she could not attend a recent school reunion, her former classmates were all talking about her role in the film. Similarly, Reina Ueda recalled meeting an interviewer three months after the release who revealed they had watched the movie ten times.

Looking Toward the Future: The Assassin Arc

At Jump Festa 2026 last December, it was announced that a new sequel titled Chainsaw Man: Assassin Arc is in production. Toya boldly declared that the real story starts from here, prompting a playful rebuttal from Ueda that drew laughter from the crowd.

In her closing remarks, Reina Ueda reflected on the emotional journey of the past six months. She stated that she received many precious memories from this project and felt immense joy in sharing positive feelings with so many people. She encouraged fans to keep the Reze Arc in their hearts while cheering Toya on for the future of the series.

Toya concluded by expressing his gratitude for the rare opportunity to hold a final stage greeting. He urged fans to enjoy the film in theaters while they still can. He jokingly referenced his dedication to the voice acting, specifically the scenes involving his character's mouth, before leaving the audience with a final message. He emphasized that the movie is filled with meticulous craftsmanship and hoped everyone would enjoy it until the very last moment.

Chainsaw Man follows the story of Denji, a young boy living as a devil hunter with the Chainsaw Devil, Pochita. After a life of poverty, he transforms into a dark hero with a devil's heart. The Reze Arc film continues the story from the final episode of the TV anime, depicting Denji's unpredictable fate after meeting a mysterious girl named Reze.
