Mobile Suit Gundam Wing first aired on television on April 7, 1995, as the second entry in the Alternative Series, which portrays a world separate from the Universal Century timeline. The series celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. The story opens dynamically with five Gundams launching a sudden assault on a massive power, maintaining relentless momentum through to the final episode. It was also the first Gundam series to be broadcast in the United States.
