Gundam’s First-Ever Dinner Show to Be Held in December; “Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz – Special Edition” Set for Limited Theatrical Release in September with Bonus Mini Shikishi Art
To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the anime “Mobile Suit Gundam Wing,” a series of new announcements has been revealed.

These include the release of new character and mobile suit setting art from the 30th anniversary video “Mobile Suit Gundam Wing -Operation 30th-,” the debut of an introductory digest video titled “Gundam Wing Explained from Zero! (Narrated by Duo Maxwell),” a limited two-week screening of the Dolby Cinema edition of “Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz – Special Edition,” and the upcoming 30th anniversary dinner show “Mobile Suit Gundam Wing 30th Anniversary Dinner Show -Operation Reunion-,” which will be held in Japan.
The new setting art, unveiled alongside the special commemorative video streaming on the official Gundam Channel on YouTube, features the five main Gundam pilots including Heero Yuy, as well as Relena Darlian, Zechs Merquise, and Meilan—Chang Wufei’s wife who never appeared in the original anime. Also included is the new “Wing Gundam Zero Cloaked Custom” mobile suit, draped in a distinctive cloak.

Additionally, the official Gundam Channel has released the digest video “Gundam Wing Explained from Zero! (Narrated by Duo Maxwell).” This video summarizes all 49 episodes of the original TV series, making it accessible even to newcomers. The narration is provided by Duo Maxwell (voiced by Toshihiko Seki).

Furthermore, the 1998 theatrical release “Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz – Special Edition” will return to theaters for the first time in Dolby Cinema format, screening for two weeks starting September 5. The original master negatives from the 1998 release have been newly scanned and remastered in 4K with HDR color grading. The film will be presented using cutting-edge Dolby Vision projection technology.
As a weekly bonus for theatergoers, mini shikishi art boards featuring newly drawn illustrations will be distributed. Each includes a short message from the character and artwork by Sakura Asagi.

In a historic first for the Gundam franchise, the “Mobile Suit Gundam Wing 30th Anniversary Dinner Show -Operation Reunion-” will take place on Saturday, December 27, at The Prince Park Tower Tokyo Ballroom. Further details will be announced during the special stage program at the “Gundam Wing 30th Anniversary Event: Operation Fukuoka,” to be held at LaLaport Fukuoka on August 9.
“Mobile Suit Gundam Wing” originally aired on April 7, 1995, as the second installment in Gundam’s “Alternate Universe” series, which is set apart from the Universal Century timeline. The story kicks off with five Gundams launching a surprise assault on a massive political power and maintains its high-stakes tension through to the finale. It was also the first Gundam series to air in the United States.
