Mobile Suit Gundam Wing first aired on April 7, 1995. It was the second show in the "Alternative Universe" series, which is set in a different timeline from the Universal Century. This year is the 30th anniversary of its broadcast. The series started out strong with five Gundams suddenly attacking a powerful organization, and the story stayed exciting until the end. It was also the first Gundam title to be broadcast in the United States.
