The announcement unveils the long awaited characters of ORDER, an elite group of assassins who have garnered overwhelming support from fans of the original manga. Kitamura plays Nagumo, a master of disguise and a former colleague of Taro Sakamoto with exceptional combat skills. Yagi portrays Shishiba, a calm and cool headed Kansai native who wields a nail hammer as his weapon. Nukumi takes on the role of Osaragi, a free spirited and naturally absent minded character who fights while swinging a massive electric chainsaw.
ORDER is the special operations unit directly under the Japanese Association of Assassins, known as JAA, the largest organization governing professional assassins in Japan. Regarded as the highest combat force in the assassin world, ORDER is tasked with eliminating high risk assassins designated by the association in order to maintain balance and order. Sakamoto himself was once a member, and the identities of three of these strongest assassins have now been revealed.

About Live Action Film SAKAMOTO DAYS
The film is a live action adaptation of the manga by Yuto Suzuki, serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump and directed by Yuichi Fukuda. It follows Taro Sakamoto, once the strongest assassin, who disappears from the spotlight after getting married. While running a small shop and living peacefully with his family, he becomes a target once again as former enemies resurface. In the adaptation, Meguro portrays Sakamoto’s dual nature, shifting between his plump one hundred forty kilogram form and his sharply honed, slender appearance when he enters serious mode, while taking on superhuman action sequences.
Meguro stars as the legendary assassin Sakamoto, with Fumiya Takahashi playing his partner Shin Asakura and Aya Ueto appearing as Sakamoto’s beloved wife Aoi. Since the beginning of 2026, additional major characters have been announced one after another, portrayed by an impressive lineup including Mayu Yokota, Junki Tozuka, Akihisa Shiono, and Keisuke Watanabe.

■Takumi Kitamura (北村匠海) as Nagumo
I will be playing Nagumo. As an actor, I have often felt the weight of responsibility that comes with adapting manga into live action.
I have been reading SAKAMOTO DAYS since its early serialization, and I know how popular Nagumo is. His playful nature that never lets people fully grasp him, the eyes that look lifeless yet are not, and above all, the fact that he is the strongest.
It is an extremely difficult role. Still, because they entrusted me with it, I gave everything I had.
I truly gave it my all. Thank you, and I hope you enjoy it.

■Yusei Yagi (八木勇征) as Shishiba
My name is Yusei Yagi, and I will be playing Shishiba.
The original work was something I already loved, so hearing it would be adapted into live action was unbelievable. On top of that, being able to join Fukuda’s team, which I have admired since my student days, made me so happy that I honestly wondered if it was a prank.
Shishiba speaks in a Kansai dialect and uses a nail hammer as his weapon, which personally hit all the right notes for me. More than anything, he is genuinely cool.
He is my favorite character in the original manga, so being able to live as him is a true honor from the bottom of my heart.
I wanted to recreate the battle scenes, one of the manga’s greatest appeals, as faithfully as possible, so I practiced action scenes repeatedly. I believe we were able to create something truly cool, so please pay close attention to that as well.
I immersed myself completely into Shishiba during filming. I sincerely hope everyone enjoys it.

■Meru Nukumi (生見愛瑠) as Osaragi
I had been watching the original manga and anime and telling my manager, ‘SAKAMOTO DAYS is so interesting, you should check it out.’
Then I received this offer, which completely surprised me. I was genuinely so happy.
Osaragi’s charm lies in the contrast between her usual time spent with Shishiba and the others and her intense moments swinging a chainsaw in battle.
I carefully and wholeheartedly portrayed every movement and way of speaking so that her character would truly come across.
This film has an incredible level of accuracy, as if the characters jumped straight out of the manga or anime. Sakamoto in particular felt almost too real, which amazed me.
I am sure audiences will be drawn into the world of SAKAMOTO DAYS the moment they start watching.
I am really looking forward to the finished film.
