SAKAMOTO DAYS Anime Season 2 Confirmed as Super Teaser Visual and PV Are Revealed
SAKAMOTO DAYS anime Season 2 has officially been confirmed, with the announcement made on December 20 during the SAKAMOTO DAYS stage event held at Jump Festa 2026 in Makuhari Messe, Chiba. Alongside the production confirmation, a super teaser visual and a promotional video were also unveiled.

On the Jump Festa 2026 Jump Super Stage, Tomokazu Sugita as Taro Sakamoto, Nobunaga Shimazaki as Shin Asakura, Daisuke Namikawa as Slur, and Koki Uchiyama as Gaku appeared on stage. After reflecting on highlights from Season 1, the cast announced that production of Season 2 had officially begun.

The super teaser visual depicts Taro Sakamoto during his days at the JCC assassin training institution. The dynamic illustration captures Sakamoto straddling a large motorcycle, aiming a gun at a target behind him with a sharp gaze, conveying a strong sense of speed and intensity.

The super teaser PV showcases Sakamoto going on a rampage while disguised as a trainee teacher during an undercover mission at JCC. Shin unexpectedly reunites with an old adversary, while ORDER members Nagumo and Kamihate clash with a series of incoming assassins. As secrets from the past come to light and the mystery surrounding Slur deepens, the video builds strong anticipation for Season 2. Further updates will be announced sequentially.

Originally serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump since November 2020, SAKAMOTO DAYS follows Taro Sakamoto, a former legendary assassin who now fights alongside his allies to protect his peaceful daily life with his beloved family. The manga has surpassed 15 million copies in circulation. The anime’s first cour aired from January to March, followed by a second cour from July to September.
In addition, a live action film adaptation starring Ren Meguro of Snow Man as Taro Sakamoto is scheduled to be released on April 29, 2026.
