Roll Over and Die Episode 3 Story & Preview Cuts Released

The story and preview images for Episode 3 of the TV anime Roll Over and Die: I Will Fight for an Ordinary Life with My Love and Cursed Sword! (JP: お前ごときが魔王に勝てると思うな) have been revealed. This episode is scheduled to air on Friday, January 23 at 12:30 AM (JST), and will later be available on various international streaming platforms.

Episode 3 Story

Having narrowly survived their encounter with the Chimera, Flum and Milkit enjoy a brief moment of peace, spending their days buying new clothes and savoring a calm, ordinary life. One day, they are approached by Leach, a merchant they previously met after helping capture a pickpocket. He asks them to search for medicinal herbs to cure his wife’s illness.

Joined by the nun Sara, who also helped apprehend the thief, the group sets out for a mountain village in search of the herbs. For Flum, traveling with close companions she can truly relax around is a completely new experience. It should have been the very peaceful life she longed for, but things do not unfold so simply.

Introduction

Despite having zero ability stats, Flum is chosen for the hero’s party by a divine revelation.

The only thing she possesses is a skill called “Reversal,” whose true nature remains unknown.

As expected, she is completely useless in battle. Even so, she does not give up and continues to work earnestly for the sake of the party. However, Jean, a sage renowned as a genius, finds her presence irritating. He repeatedly bullies her at every opportunity and eventually sells her off by force to a slave trader.

There, too, Flum is abused as a useless being, and in the end, she is about to be used as monster fodder for entertainment. Two choices are placed before her. Either take up the “Cursed Greatsword,” a weapon prepared as a cruel joke by the merchant that brings death to its wielder, or be devoured alive by monsters.

When she chooses to resist until the very end, her life begins to “reverse.”
