Episode 2 Story

Flum and Milkit, having escaped from hell itself, set out to begin new lives. They obtain adventurer licenses and head out on their very first quest. The job they accept is a supposed F-rank mission to subdue a werewolf. However, the creature that appears before them is far more dangerous than expected, a D-rank monster vastly stronger than any F-rank threat.

For Flum, who has gained overwhelming power, this should not have been a problem. At least, that was how it was supposed to be. What emerges is an aberrant werewolf, an unknown monstrosity that absorbs its own kind into its body, grotesquely warping its form even further. Thus begins the spiral into a new kind of hell.

Despite having zero ability stats, Flum is chosen for the hero’s party by a divine revelation.

The only thing she possesses is a skill called “Reversal,” whose true nature remains unknown.

As expected, she is completely useless in battle. Even so, she does not give up and continues to work earnestly for the sake of the party. However, Jean, a sage renowned as a genius, finds her presence irritating. He repeatedly bullies her at every opportunity and eventually sells her off by force to a slave trader.

There, too, Flum is abused as a useless being, and in the end, she is about to be used as monster fodder for entertainment. Two choices are placed before her. Either take up the “Cursed Greatsword,” a weapon prepared as a cruel joke by the merchant that brings death to its wielder, or be devoured alive by monsters.

When she chooses to resist until the very end, her life begins to “reverse.”
