The story and preview images for Episode 4 of the TV anime Champignon Witch (JP: シャンピニオンの魔女) have been revealed. This episode is scheduled to air on Friday, January 23 at 1:58 AM (JST). This episode will later be made available on various international streaming platforms.

Episode4 Story

“The cursed child” is destined to eventually become a “fallen being” that brings calamity to the world.

Luna herself was once a cursed child, yet she is the only one known to have defied that fate. The young boy before her is also a cursed child, burdened with the same destiny.

Upon discovering that the boy possesses the faint source of magical power, Luna makes a firm resolve. She vows to devote everything she has to raising him into a full-fledged sorcerer and to help him overcome his predetermined fate.

Moved by Luna’s determination, the council of sorcerers decides to hold a vote on whether to entrust her with the responsibility of raising the boy.

Introduction

Deep within the black forest, in a quiet house of poisonous mushrooms, lived a lone witch named Luna. Wherever she touched or walked, poisonous mushrooms often grew, and the breath she exhaled and even her skin were tainted with poison.

The townspeople called her the “Champignon Witch.” Feared as a black witch, not a single person dared to approach her.

Even so, Luna heads to town again today to sell her medicine. Her remedies are hugely popular as miracle cures, and everyone who obtains them speaks words of gratitude in unison. Yet no one knows who actually makes the medicine.

Still, Luna continues to brew her medicines day after day.

Then one day, a dreamlike encounter comes to lonely Luna, who has never known the warmth of another person……

A magical fantasy of love, adventure, and emotion now begins!
