Demon Slayer Misses Out on Golden Globe for Best Animated Film as “KPop Demon Hunters” Takes the Prize
At the 83rd Golden Globe Awards, Demon Slayer failed to secure the award for Best Animated Film. The announcement and award ceremony were held on January 11 in Los Angeles, United States. Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle Arc Chapter One, directed by Haruo Sotozaki, was nominated but did not win the category. The award ultimately went to KPop Demon Hunters.

Had Demon Slayer won, it would have marked the second victory for a Japanese animated film in two years, following The Boy and the Heron directed by Hayao Miyazaki, which received the same honor in 2024. However, this milestone achievement did not come to pass.
