Hello, this is Sakaku Hishikawa.

Incredible. Truly incredible. The production of Season 2 of the TV anime The Brilliant Healer’s New Life in the Shadows has been decided. They are coming back as an anime once again.

At the wrap up party for Season 1, I gave a rather emotional speech saying something like, “The anime may be over, but let us meet again somewhere someday.” Looking back, that feels a little embarrassing now, but above all, this announcement comes as a wonderful surprise.

This is entirely thanks to the many people who watched and supported The Brilliant Healer’s New Life in the Shadows, as well as the tremendous efforts of the staff involved. I am truly grateful.

As a viewer myself, I am very much looking forward to seeing what kind of adventures and exploits the laid back, unlicensed genius healer and his rather colorful companions will get up to in Season 2. Please look forward to future updates and the broadcast.

Introduction

A shadow healer not a shadow doctor heals wounds, comforts people, and perhaps even sets the world right.

Zenos, a young healer, is branded as useless by his adventurer party and cast out with a single gold coin as severance pay.

Born in the slums, Zenos practices self taught healing magic and does not possess a healer’s license. With nowhere left to go, he wanders through an alley and encounters Lily, a dying elf girl who has been stabbed in the abdomen.

Set in a quietly opened clinic located in a ruined district on the outskirts of the slums, the story of an unlicensed genius healer and his unknowingly overpowered fantasy begins.
