I Lost My Adventurer’s License, but It’s Fine Because I Have an Adorable Daughter Now has officially been announced as a television anime adaptation. The announcement revealed a teaser visual and the official anime logo, depicting the cursed girl Rabi and the former adventurer Douglas bathed in the morning sunlight. Alongside the reveal, celebratory comments and illustrations were shared by original author Manimani Ononata and character designer Fuzichoco.

The series is a highly popular fantasy light novel published under GA Novel. Including both the novel and its manga adaptation, illustrated by Fumi Tadaura with series composition by Itsuki Watanabe, the franchise has surpassed 2.2 million copies in circulation across print and digital formats.

The story centers on Douglas Ford, once a legendary mage known as the strongest of his era. As age catches up with him and his body weakens, Douglas has his adventurer’s license revoked and becomes a wanderer. During his travels, he encounters Rabi, a young girl burdened by a curse. With no family to rely on, Rabi chooses to journey alongside Douglas, and the two decide to face the world together.

As they take on difficult quests, help people they meet along the way, and share warm meals that naturally bring smiles to their faces, their bond gradually deepens. Though not related by blood, Douglas and Rabi begin to form a relationship akin to that of a true father and daughter, continuing their gentle yet heartfelt adventure together.
