Re:ZERO Starting Life in Another World Launches 10th Anniversary Project With Teaser PV and Special Program Streaming on January 17 Featuring Cast Members
Re:ZERO Starting Life in Another World has officially launched its 10th anniversary project, marking a major milestone for the long running isekai anime series. To commemorate the occasion, a New Year visual and a special teaser promotional video have been released.

Re:ZERO Launches 10th Anniversary Project
As part of the anniversary initiative, the project will roll out a total of ten major plans over the course of one year. One of the highlights is a 10th anniversary special program scheduled to stream on January 17. A lineup of main cast members will come together early in the new year to celebrate and energize the Re:ZERO franchise.
Re:ZERO Starting Life in Another World tells the story of Subaru Natsuki, a boy suddenly summoned to another world with no abilities or support to rely on. In this unfamiliar realm, Subaru discovers his unique power known as Return by Death, which allows him to rewind time upon dying. Using this painful ability, he struggles against despair and a cruel fate in order to protect the people he cares about and reclaim the irreplaceable moments that once existed.
The anime is based on the light novel series written by Tappei Nagatsuki with illustrations by Shinichiro Otsuka, published under MF Bunko J by KADOKAWA. The series has surpassed 13 million copies in circulation worldwide.
The television anime aired its first season from April to September 2016, followed by season two from July to September 2020 and January to March 2021. Season three aired from October to November 2024 and from February to March 2025. A fourth season is scheduled to air in 2026.

Comment From Original Author Tappei Nagatsuki
Congratulations on the 10th anniversary of the Re:ZERO anime. The speed at which time has passed makes this anniversary feel shocking, but just like the day my words were first turned into illustrations, the excitement I felt when my work was animated and the characters began to move and speak has never faded and still remains with me today.
I have been able to see many scenes in the anime that were created with great effort and emotion. And yet, there are still so many scenes I want to see and so many lines I want to hear that I cannot possibly talk about them all. Let us not stop at the 10th anniversary and aim for a series that can celebrate its 20th and 30th anniversaries as well. Thank you for these ten years, and I look forward to the 100th anniversary too.
Comment From Original Illustrator Shinichiro Otsuka
Congratulations on the 10th anniversary of the anime. When I watched the opening of episode one, I was deeply moved simply seeing the characters I designed come to life with voices. However, the visuals exceeded my imagination so much that partway through I found myself enjoying it purely as a viewer.
From season four onward, there will be a continuous series of scenes that will be very challenging to animate, and I believe this will place a heavy burden on the staff. Still, thinking about being able to see visuals of that quality already fills me with excitement.
I look forward to your continued support.
