The fourth season of the TV anime Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- has been officially announced for broadcast in 2026. The new character “Shaula” will be voiced by Ai Fairouz, marking a significant addition to the cast.

Re:ZERO tells the story of Subaru Natsuki, a young man summoned to another world where he has nothing to rely on. Facing despair and a cruel fate, he fights to protect those he loves by using his mysterious ability “Return by Death,” which rewinds time upon his death. Through this power, Subaru strives to reclaim the irreplaceable moments that once existed.

Based on the light novel series written by Tappei Nagatsuki and illustrated by Shinichirou Otsuka, the franchise has surpassed 13 million copies sold. Published under MF Bunko J (KADOKAWA), the anime has seen continued success since its first season aired from April to September 2016. The second season aired from July to September 2020 and again from January to March 2021, while the third season spanned from October to November 2024 and February to March 2025.

Season 4 Synopsis

After a hard-fought victory in the deadly battle at Water Gate City Pristella, Subaru and his allies are left with devastating consequences. Rem remains asleep due to the Authority of Gluttony, Crusch has lost her memories, and Julius has had his name stolen.

While searching for a way to save them, Subaru learns of the existence of the Sage Shaula, said to possess absolute knowledge and foresight. Their next destination: the Pleiades Watchtower, the final stronghold rising from the Augria Sand Dunes, an immense desert even the strongest Sword Saint Reinhard could not conquer.

Braving violent natural phenomena, unknown magical beasts, and unimaginable threats, Subaru embarks on a life-threatening journey with his companions to reclaim everything they’ve lost.
