The currently airing Egghead Arc will conclude at the end of December. From January through March 2026, the series will enter a planned break period before returning in April with the Elbaph Arc. Starting in 2026, ONE PIECE will no longer include recap episodes, resulting in a broadcast schedule of up to 26 new episodes per year.

ONE PIECE is based on the long running manga that began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump on July 22, 1997. The story follows an epic sea adventure centered on the legendary treasure known as the One Piece, left behind by the Pirate King Gol D. Roger.

The protagonist, Monkey D. Luffy, gains rubber like abilities after eating the Gum Gum Devil Fruit. With his body able to stretch like rubber, Luffy sets out to sea, gathers companions, and forms the Straw Hat Pirates, all in pursuit of becoming the next Pirate King.

The manga has surpassed 510 million copies in circulation worldwide, making it one of the best selling manga series of all time. The TV anime has been airing continuously since 1999. In 2022, the theatrical film ONE PIECE FILM RED became a major cultural phenomenon in Japan, earning over 20.34 billion yen at the domestic box office. The franchise expanded further in 2023 with a live action adaptation released on Netflix.
