The official flagship store ONE PIECE BASE SHOP, representing the hit manga and anime series, will open on December 5 in Shinjuku, Tokyo. An opening ceremony was held on the 26th to commemorate the launch.

Designed as a cross-platform hub for all things ONE PIECE, the store focuses on exclusive merchandise that can only be purchased at this location. Approximately five hundred out of around eight hundred items available in the store will be shop exclusives. The interior is crafted to provide an immersive experience, allowing visitors to explore the world of ONE PIECE through a treasure-hunt style layout. Customers can enjoy a shopping journey that feels like searching for hidden treasure.

The ceremony welcomed Hiroyuki Nakano, Deputy Manager of Shueisha’s Third Editorial Department and Editor in Chief of Weekly Shonen Jump overseeing ONE PIECE media, and Hiroshi Kawasaki, President of Bandai Namco Experience. A symbolic bell was rung to mark the start of a new “voyage,” celebrating the launch of the ONE PIECE BASE SHOP.

He shared that extreme care was taken even in the smallest details to create a space where visitors can fully immerse themselves in the world of ONE PIECE. He added that he hopes guests will feel the store’s concept, “Your course is free and the horizon is limitless,” and that the shop will become a base for new experiences spreading out from Shinjuku.

Nakano commented that the vast store area features an ocean-themed blue space reminiscent of the Grand Line. Merchandise corners appear like islands scattered across this world. He suggested visitors enjoy shopping with the spirit of the Straw Hat Crew exploring a world akin to the All Blue, where treasures from all over the world come together.
