The theatrical anime film Attack on Titan: THE LAST ATTACK will return to Japanese theaters starting January 16, 2026, following its original release on November 8, 2024. A Dolby Cinema version will receive an advance screening on January 9, accompanied by the reveal of a new poster visual and the official trailer.

The newly unveiled poster visual depicts Eren standing with his back turned as Mikasa, Armin, and their former comrades gather before him. It features the iconic catchphrase essential to the series, “Offer your heart!, once again.” The trailer revives powerful memories from the story, including scenes of Hange confronting the Rumbling Titans and Mikasa’s emotional line, “Thank you for wrapping this scarf around me.”

The Dolby Cinema version has been produced using a newly created 4K screening master, supervised by director Yuichiro Hayashi and sound director Masafumi Mima. Through 4K HDR remastering and Dolby Atmos audio, the film delivers sharper visuals and sound, offering an unprecedented level of immersion. Standard screenings will also be rolled out sequentially at theaters nationwide.

Following its long theatrical run last year, numerous requests for a re-release were received. Responding to fans’ voices, the film returns to the big screen once again. Director Yuichiro Hayashi shared his gratitude, stating that the revival screening is made possible thanks to fans who repeatedly visited theaters to support the film.

Attack on Titan is a dark fantasy series created by Hajime Isayama, originally serialized in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine from 2009 to 2021, with total worldwide circulation exceeding 140 million copies. The TV anime began airing in 2013, and the story concluded with Attack on Titan The Final Season The Final Chapters Part 2, broadcast in November 2023.
