Voice Actor Yui Ishikawa, best known for her role as Mikasa Ackerman in the anime Attack on Titan, announced on May 11 via her official X (formerly Twitter) account that she has given birth to her first child.

In a handwritten message shared on the platform, Ishikawa expressed her deep gratitude, writing:

"On a warm spring day recently, I gave birth to my first child. With pregnancy, childbirth, and childcare all being first-time experiences for me, I’ve been constantly struck by how many things I never knew. But more than anything, I am filled with joy and appreciation for the safe arrival of our baby."

She also thanked those who supported her through the process:

"To everyone who helped adjust my schedule, thank you so much. I hope to grow as a person so I can be a mother my child can be proud of. I truly appreciate your continued support."

Ishikawa is a highly acclaimed voice actress with a range of notable roles. In addition to voicing Mikasa in Attack on Titan, she played Violet Evergarden in Violet Evergarden, and Minori Ichinose/Cure Papaya in Tropical-Rouge! Precure. She publicly announced her marriage to a non-celebrity man in May 2021.
