Directed by Tetsuo Yajima, who has overseen numerous entries in the Doraemon film franchise, the remake features a script by Isao Murayama, a longtime writer for the television anime and a first time contributor to the movie series. Recently, it was announced that Shoya Chiba will voice Eru, a soldier of the undersea kingdom, while Ryo Hirohashi will portray the Submarine Buggy, adding further anticipation to the project.
The newly revealed main visual vividly depicts Doraemon, Nobita, Shizuka, Gian, and Suneo riding Doraemon’s secret gadget, the Submarine Buggy, as they explore a vast and unexplored world beneath the ocean. Surrounding them are diverse marine creatures, illustrated with meticulous detail, while beams of light from the surface enhance the mysterious underwater atmosphere.

At the end of the light stands El from the underwater nation of the Mu Federation, accompanied by the tagline: “I know we can understand each other. At the bottom of the sea. At the bottom of our hearts.” The visual raises expectations for how the encounter between Doraemon’s group and El will shape the story. Looming in the background is the enormous Undersea Devil’s Castle, creating a sense of foreboding that hints at the grand scale of the upcoming adventure.

In addition, the film has released art setting sketches that construct the underwater world where the adventure unfolds. These include grand palaces within the Mu Federation and deep sea landscapes, each drawn with exceptional beauty. The artwork showcases a level of scale and detail that stands among the most impressive in the long running Doraemon series.
