The very first volume of the Doraemon manga was published on July 25, 1974. Marking the 50th anniversary of its release, the final sixth volume of the special edition Doraemon series under Tentomushi Comics was released on July 25, 2024.

This premium edition series has drawn attention not only for its commemorative nature but also for its exclusive bonuses. The sixth volume comes with a special storage box designed to perfectly hold all six volumes of the 50th Anniversary Special Edition. The box features a futuristic silver exterior, with a matte base and glossy illustrated surfaces, and is fully printed inside as well.

Each volume is presented with a double cover—an outer shimmering cover made of silver paper for a futuristic look, and an inner cover that faithfully recreates the original first-edition design from the 1970s. The content inside has also been meticulously crafted to resemble the first edition, from the layout of title pages to the size of speech bubbles.

This Tentomushi Comics Doraemon 50th Anniversary Special Edition series is a limited production, available only during the anniversary year.
