Fans Amazed by Aoi Yuki’s Madoka Magica Illustration: “I Didn’t Expect This Level…” “It’s Going Viral”

Voice actress Aoi Yuki drew the end card for Episode 6 of Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Beginning Story / The Eternal Story TV Edition, which aired on the sixteenth, and the illustration was released on the anime’s official X account. The artwork showcases Madoka, the colorful protagonist voiced by Yuki, rendered with a level of technique that could easily be mistaken for a professional illustrator.

Online reactions quickly followed, with comments such as “Aoi Yuki’s illustrations are always unbelievably good,” “It is wild that the lead voice actress casually provides end cards like this,” “I knew she could draw, but this is on another level,” and “If she had not signed it, I would have assumed it was drawn by a professional illustrator.” Other users noted how widely the post was circulating, saying, “This is blowing up so much, and this isn’t even her main profession.”

The current TV Edition reassembles the theatrical films Part 1 and Part 2 into an eleven episode television format. It serves as an entry point for viewers who have yet to experience the Madoka Magica series, while also providing longtime fans with an opportunity to revisit the story ahead of the new movie, Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie Walpurgisnacht Rising, set to release in February 2026.
