The release of Expelled from Paradise: Heart's Resonance has been confirmed for 2026. Alongside this announcement, a key visual and a teaser trailer were also revealed.

This film is the sequel to the 2014 original theatrical anime Expelled from Paradise. The production team brings back the main staff from the previous work, including Seiji Mizushima, known for Mobile Suit Gundam 00, as the director, Gen Urobuchi, known for Puella Magi Madoka Magica, as the scriptwriter, and Masatsugu Saito, known for Xenoblade 2 and Xenoblade 3, as the character designer.

In the previous film, set in a sci-fi world where most humans live in a virtual environment, it followed the journey of agent "Angela" and ground operative "Dingo" as they pursued the entity "Frontier Setter," which threatened the virtual world. The movie also featured powerful action scenes with the mobile exoskeleton suit "Arhan," portrayed through stunning cel-shaded 3D CGI animation.
