The TV anime SAKAMOTO DAYS is set to premiere on January 11, 2025, on TV Tokyo (11 PM JST), with its second cour scheduled to air from July, every Monday at midnight. A new key visual and main PV have also been unveiled.

Originally serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump in November 2020, SAKAMOTO DAYS follows former legendary hitman Taro Sakamoto as he defends his peaceful life with his family by battling dangerous assassins with the help of loyal friends. The series has sold over 6 million copies.

The key visual shows Taro Sakamoto and his eclectic companions gathered under a clear sky in front of his shop, "Sakamoto Store." The lineup includes psychic employee Shin, ex-mafia daughter Lu Xiaotan, Sakamoto's wife Aoi and daughter Hana, loyal sniper Heisuke Mashimo, and Sakamoto’s old hitman colleague Nagumo.

The main PV showcases Sakamoto’s serene daily life, his camaraderie with his allies, and intense action sequences as assassins pursue him for the 1-billion-yen bounty on his head. Additionally, the opening theme, an original track titled “Hashire SAKAMOTO” by Vaundy, has been announced.

Story

There was once the strongest hitman named Taro Sakamoto. Every villain feared him, and every hitman admired him. One day, he fell in love! After instantly falling for Aoi, a convenience store worker, Sakamoto retired from being a hitman. He married her, welcomed the birth of their daughter, and ran a small shop in a peaceful town, becoming... quite fat! To protect his peaceful daily life with his beloved family, the former legendary hitman faces off against incoming assassins one after another. This solid action story of ordinary and extraordinary begins here!
