Five–member rock band LACCO TOWER announced on the fifteenth that their keyboardist, Shinichi Jet, had been hospitalized following a traffic accident and is currently receiving treatment in the intensive care unit. The update was released through the band’s official website.

On the seventh, the band reported, “While driving his private vehicle on the night of Thursday, November sixth, LACCO TOWER member and one half of the unit ‘Matsukawa Jet,’ Key. Shinichi Jet, was involved in a single–car accident and is currently undergoing treatment in the ICU. Fortunately, his life is not in danger, but his condition requires careful monitoring. For this reason, Shinichi Jet will be taking time to focus on rest and recovery for the foreseeable future.”

A further update on the fifteenth described his injuries and progress. “Regarding Shinichi Jet’s condition, he has now been transferred from the intensive care unit to a general ward. Thankfully, he is on the road to recovery and is steadily moving forward with treatment and rehabilitation. Determining when he will return to performing will continue to be handled cautiously under medical guidance, with his full recovery as the top priority.”

The statement continued, “To ensure Shinichi Jet can return in perfect condition, we will prioritize his treatment and recovery and continue band activities with four members in the meantime. We sincerely apologize for the concern and inconvenience caused, and we would greatly appreciate your warm support for Shinichi Jet’s recovery and for LACCO TOWER going forward.”

LACCO TOWER consists of vocalist Keisuke Matsukawa, bassist Keiji Shiozaki, drummer Masatoshi Shigeta, keyboardist Shinichi Jet, and guitarist Daisuke Hosokawa. The band made their major debut in 2015 with the full album “Kofukuron” and is known for performing “USUBENI,” the ending theme of the TV anime Dragon Ball Super. Matsukawa and Shinichi Jet also work together as the musical unit “Matsukawa Jet.”
