Voice actor Yuki Kaji’s agency VIMS has updated its official website, confirming that it has identified defamatory and misleading information circulating online. The agency issued a formal statement warning against the spread of such falsehoods.

The announcement reads, “We have confirmed that malicious and misleading information about Yuki Kaji has been circulating online and on some social media platforms. All such information is completely unfounded. Although we have issued similar warnings in the past, false posts and speculation continue to spread.”

It goes on to explain, “While Yuki Kaji himself prefers not to address such topics, the negative impact has now extended to his relatives. We take this matter very seriously and would like to provide the following report.”

The agency further clarified that Kaji “has never engaged in adultery or any behavior contrary to public morals,” adding that “claims mocking his hobbies or personal preferences are also entirely baseless.”

Regarding future action, the statement noted that “a strict investigation by legal counsel has already identified multiple posts that could be considered unlawful. Anyone who may have posted or spread such false information should immediately delete the content and take appropriate corrective measures. If the situation does not improve and further defamation is confirmed, we intend to file for disclosure of the sender’s information and pursue legal action.”

In addition, VIMS announced the establishment of a dedicated online form for reporting defamatory posts. “In addition to using the reporting features provided by each platform, please make use of our newly established defamation reporting form to inform us of any related content. We will take appropriate action as necessary.”

Finally, the agency appealed to the public for calm judgment: “We ask everyone not to be misled by unverified information and to remain calm. We sincerely hope that the spread of defamatory content that hurts others will end as soon as possible. We deeply appreciate your continued warm support for Yuki Kaji.”

Yuki Kaji is best known for voicing Eren Yeager in Attack on Titan, Meliodas in The Seven Deadly Sins, and Kenma Kozume in Haikyu!!. He married voice actress Ayana Taketatsu, known for her role as Azusa Nakano in K-On!, on June 23, 2019. The couple announced the birth of their first daughter in November 2022.
