Yuji Itadori and Aoi Todo from Jujutsu Kaisen Grace the Cover of Tarzan Magazine: Voice Actors Junya Enoki and Subaru Kimura Recreate the Iconic Pose

The protagonists Yuji Itadori and Aoi Todo from the anime Jujutsu Kaisen appear on the cover of the Tarzan magazine special edition (Issue No. 914 Extra Edition), released on November 6. This collaboration coincides with the upcoming theatrical release of Jujutsu Kaisen: Shibuya Incident Special Compilation Edition × Culling Game Advanced Screening.

The issue’s main feature focuses on “The Science of Hot Springs,” a topic beloved by many in Japan. The Tarzan editorial team, eager to create a one-of-a-kind cover, commissioned an exclusive illustration of Yuji and Todo relaxing in a hot spring between battles—a striking contrast to the intense combat scenes the series is known for. The illustration captures both characters’ muscular physiques and serene expressions, symbolizing the calm between storms.

Inside the magazine, a commemorative feature includes a special gravure photoshoot and an in-depth interview with the voice actors Junya Enoki (Yuji Itadori) and Subaru Kimura (Aoi Todo). The two discuss their passion for the series, highlights of the upcoming movie, and their outlook on the highly anticipated third season of the anime, set to air next year.

During the photoshoot, the actors were challenged by the editorial team to “recreate the same pose” as their illustrated counterparts. Checking the monitor closely between takes, Enoki and Kimura delivered a lively session that mirrored the close, brotherly bond between Yuji and Todo.

Toward the end of the interview, the two engaged in a lighthearted conversation about hot springs, the issue’s main theme. Enoki revealed his fondness for open-air and super sento-style baths, while Kimura suggested a “wild outdoor hot spring by the sea where we can enjoy nature together.” Their conversation expanded to international hot springs and wellness topics, offering a glimpse into their camaraderie that parallels their characters’ dynamic in Jujutsu Kaisen.
