Voice actors Megumi Ogata and Kana Hanazawa attended the stage greeting for the revival screening of the film Jujutsu Kaisen 0 titled “Rika-chan Support Screening,” held in Tokyo on the 17th. The event featured surprise appearances by mascot versions of Yuji, Yuta, and Gojo, leading to a series of amusing interactions on stage.

As the theater filled with cheers and applause, Ogata, who voices Yuta Okkotsu, and Hanazawa, who plays Rika Orimoto, took the stage to a warm welcome. Each time Ogata spoke, the audience sighed with admiration. When Hanazawa greeted the crowd in Rika’s distinctive voice, Ogata quickly pointed out, “You could tell just now—she can produce that voice without any sound processing!”

Hanazawa appeared in a semi-sheer lace dress paired with a white cape, which Ogata said immediately reminded her of Rika. “When I saw her in that cape, I thought, ‘That’s Rika-chan!’” Ogata shared. Embracing the mood of the event, Hanazawa fully embodied her character. Upon hearing the announcement that the support screenings would take place in five major cities, she exclaimed, “I want to go to Osaka!” and laughed, adding, “I want to go there and say, ‘Yuta’s incredible! I didn’t expect him to be this cool!’”

When the conversation turned to Jujutsu Kaisen: Shibuya Incident Special Compilation × Culling Game Pre-Screening, which is set for nationwide release on November 7, Ogata remarked, “I’ve lived most of my career as a battle-type voice actor, but even my reflexes couldn’t keep up with the pace of the Culling Game. It’s a recap that leaves you no time to breathe.” When asked if Yuta was “as amazing as ever,” Hanazawa responded with a grin, repeating, “Yuta’s incredible! I didn’t expect him to be this cool!” before joking, “Can you not make me activate that mode again?”—eliciting laughter from the audience.

Later, mascot versions of Yuji, Yuta, and Gojo appeared on stage. Ogata, watching Yuta’s movements, smiled and said, “So this is how Yuta moves, huh? It’s exciting in a different way.” Meanwhile, Hanazawa was caught off guard when Gojo lifted his mask to reveal his eyes up close. “Kya!” she squealed, playfully retreating in embarrassment. Laughing, she added, “I feel like a new door just opened for me. But I have Yuta, so I’ll stay loyal to him,” she told herself with a laugh.

Jujutsu Kaisen, created by Gege Akutami, is a dark fantasy manga serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from March 2018 to September 2024. The story follows Yuji Itadori, a high school student drawn into battles involving cursed spirits after a powerful cursed object is unsealed. The series has surpassed 100 million copies in circulation. The first TV season aired from October 2020 to March 2021, followed by Jujutsu Kaisen 0: The Movie in December 2021, which grossed 26.5 billion yen worldwide. Season 2 aired from July to December 2023, and the next season, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3: Culling Game - Part 1, will begin airing in January 2026.
