Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Premieres January 2026: Teaser PV Released for Culling Game Part 1

The continuation of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime series has been confirmed. Season 3, titled Jujutsu Kaisen: Culling Game Part 1, will premiere in January 2026, accompanied by the release of a teaser promotional video.

The Culling Game Begins

After what happened in Season 2, Jujutsu Kaisen: Culling Game is about a deadly battle led by the mysterious and most feared sorcerer in history, Noritoshi Kamo. The story starts as people who have been given magical powers are forced to compete in a very difficult survival game.

The new PV starts with Yuji Itadori sitting on the stairs and saying, "I can't be with everyone anymore." After the Shibuya Incident, Yuji was feeling very sad. Then he met Yuta Okkotsu, a very powerful sorcerer. Fans have been waiting a long time for this fight between the main series' hero and the hero of Jujutsu Kaisen 0 (one of the most popular battles in the manga). It will be animated with exciting action. Fushiguro, Choso, Maki Zenin, and Tsukumo also appear, which signals the start of the exciting Culling Game arc.

Theatrical Release Before TV Premiere

A special theatrical project, Jujutsu Kaisen the Movie: The movie, Shibuya Incident Special Edition × Culling Game Advance Screening, will be shown in Japanese theaters on November 7. For the first time, the Shibuya Incident will be shown in a special version on the big screen. Also, Episodes 1 and 2 of Season 3 will be shown for the first time outside of the TV broadcast. The film will also be shown in other countries.

New Key Visual by MAPPA

A new image has also been released by the animation studio MAPPA. It shows Yuji clenching his fist with a determined expression against the backdrop of a devastated Shibuya crater, alongside Yuta holding his sword with his back turned. The image strongly suggests what will happen in the story, which is the big fight between Yuji and Yuta, who are both students of the same teacher.
