Overview of Chainsaw Man and the Reze Arc Film
Chainsaw Man follows Denji, a young Devil Hunter who lives with the Chainsaw Devil Pochita. Burdened by his deceased father's debt, Denji makes a contract with Pochita and is revived as the devil-hearted Chainsaw Man, fighting devils in a dark action narrative. The original manga began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in December 2018 and has surpassed 30 million copies in circulation.
The manga’s first part, the Public Safety Arc, concluded in the December 14, 2020 issue, with the second part beginning in Shonen Jump Plus in July 2022. An anime adaptation aired from October to December 2022, and a stage play adaptation followed.
The upcoming film Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc continues the story directly after the TV anime's finale. It focuses on Denji’s unpredictable encounter with a mysterious girl named Reze and the events that unfold as a result.
