The highly anticipated Chainsaw Man The Movie Reze Arc will hit theaters on September 19, and it has been confirmed that the film will also be screened in IMAX. Alongside the announcement, a dynamic IMAX poster visual was revealed, featuring Chainsaw Man and the Shark Fiend, Beam, charging forward with breathtaking intensity.

To commemorate the release in Japan, streaming platform ABEMA will broadcast a special program highlighting the appeal of Chainsaw Man: The Movie – Reze Arc on September 5 at 8:00 p.m. (JST).

Furthermore, a Chainsaw Man Compilation Movie will be exclusively streamed on ABEMA starting September 5 at 9:00 p.m. (JST). This special feature revisits the TV anime series while also including a newly animated bonus short, “Chainsaw Biyori,” based on the manga’s end-volume episodes.

Since ABEMA is unavailable outside Japan, Japan Anime News will publish detailed coverage of the special program as soon as information becomes available.

Originally serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump beginning December 2018, Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man manga has surpassed 30 million copies in circulation. Its unpredictable twists, shocking revelations, and raw storytelling quickly earned widespread acclaim, ranking No.1 in the “This Manga is Amazing! 2021” (Male Readers) category. The first arc, Public Safety Saga, concluded in December 2020, followed by the launch of Part 2 on Shonen Jump+ in July 2022. The franchise expanded with a TV anime adaptation (Oct–Dec 2022) and even a stage play.

The upcoming movie adapts the beloved Reze Arc, continuing directly after the anime’s finale. The story follows protagonist Denji as he encounters a mysterious girl named Reze, only to be drawn into an unpredictable and dangerous fate.
