The TV anime Plus-Sized Misadventures in Love! will begin airing on TOKYO MX and other channels from October 6, every Monday at 11:00 p.m. A new key visual and the second promotional video have been released, along with additional cast announcements.

Based on the manga of the same name by Mamakari, with over 128 million downloads and currently available first on Comic Cmoa, the series follows Yumeko, who is reborn with a positive outlook after losing her memory in an accident. Juggling both romance and work, her overwhelming positivity cuts through the worries of those around her as she also seeks the truth behind her accident. The result is a whirlwind office romantic comedy.

The key visual features returning character Keisuke Yuki, alongside new office members Saki Tamai, Hiroki Maezono, Yutaka Shigemori, and Masahiko Hosoi. It depicts Yumeko radiating positivity at the office, offering a glimpse into her interactions and relationships with colleagues.

The PV reveals the voices of the new characters as well. Akari Kito plays Saki Tamai, Tomokazu Sugita voices Hiroki Maezono, Takuya Eguchi voices Yutaka Shigemori, Eiji Takeuchi plays Masahiko Hosoi, Junichi Suwabe voices Motoki Minami, and Shoya Chiba plays Shunsaburo Tanikawa. Each cast member also shared official comments.

The opening theme, Happy Yummy Lucky Yummy by GANG PARADE, has been revealed, accompanied by a collaboration visual drawn by world-renowned illustrator and animator Sushio. The artwork features Yumeko in an outfit matching GANG PARADE’s newly designed costumes, also created by Sushio. The second PV includes both the OP song and the ending theme I’m Glad It’s Me!!! by Yuma Uchida.

■Akari Kito (Saki Tamai)
Saki Tamai, the character I play, is soft, cute, and soothing… but she also has a very human side that makes her fascinating. She has her own policies, works hard, and lives sincerely. That was something I could really feel while reading the original manga, and I wanted to preserve that while performing. Plus-Sized Misadventures in Love! is not your typical rom-com—it’s something truly unique. I believe both fans of the manga and newcomers will enjoy it, so please look forward to the broadcast!

■Tomokazu Sugita (Hiroki Maezono)
I play Hiroki Maezono. How one perceives him may slightly change the impression of the series. Is he simply a harsh boss to Yumeko, or…? While performing, I constantly felt two completely conflicting emotions colliding within me. That remains true even now. Thank you for your support.

■Takuya Eguchi (Yutaka Shigemori)
Yutaka Shigemori is a cheerful, upbeat, and positive character. Being around him lifts your spirits. I tried to let that happiness radiate naturally in my performance. When I read the manga, I honestly couldn’t put it down. I hope everyone enjoys that same addictive feeling in the anime as well!

■Eiji Takeuchi (Masahiko Hosoi)
I play Masahiko Hosoi. He’s not the assertive type and tends to fade into the background in the planning department, but he is very expressive, easily moved to tears, and genuinely caring toward his colleagues. True to his name, he’s also quite slim, so I kept a gentle and delicate tone in mind while playing him. Please enjoy Hosoi and the world of Plus-Sized Misadventures in Love!
