The TV anime Uma Musume: Cinderella Gray Season 2 will begin airing on October 5 at 4:30 p.m. A new character PV, visuals, and additional cast members have been announced. The opening theme song for the second cour will be performed by 10-FEET.

Uma Musume is a cross-media franchise featuring anthropomorphized versions of real-life racehorses such as Special Week, Silence Suzuka, and Tokai Teio. It spans games, manga, and anime, and enjoys immense popularity.

Based on the manga Uma Musume Cinderella Gray currently serialized in Weekly Young Jump, the series has surpassed 8 million copies in circulation. It follows the story of Oguri Cap, a girl from the countryside who rises to become a legendary horse girl in the central racing scene. Nicknamed a “monster,” she runs her way through a Cinderella-like tale of youth.

The anime adaptation coincides with the 40th anniversary of the real-life racehorse Oguri Cap’s birth. Directed by Yuko Ito, with series composition by Hitoshi Kindaichi, character designs by Takuya Miyahara and Keigo Sasaki, and animation production by CygamesPictures, the project has drawn significant attention.
