The ongoing anime Tougen Anki (airing Fridays at 11:00 p.m. JST) has announced that its second cour, the Nerima Arc, will begin airing in October. Alongside this, the fourth promotional video (PV), a new key visual, and new characters with their cast members have been unveiled.

The fourth PV features an array of new characters from both the Oni Corporation, to which protagonist Shiki Ichinose belongs, and the rival Momotaro Corporation, hinting at an even fiercer conflict ahead. The newly announced cast includes Atsushi Tamaru as Masumi Yodogawa (淀川 真澄), Haruki Ishiya as Kaoru Namikido (並木度 馨), Chiharu Sawashiro as Shinya momoiiwa (桃巌 深夜), Shunichi Toki as Mikado Momodera (桃寺 神門), Shintaro Asanuma as Tsukuyomi Momoka (桃華 月詠), and Yuki Ono as Ousuke Momokado (桃角 桜介).

The new key visual highlights the intense expressions of both Shiki Ichinose and Mikado Momodera, a Momotaro Corporation member who, unaware of Shiki’s Oni blood, befriends him.

Additionally, details of the new opening and ending theme songs for the Nerima Arc were revealed. The opening theme will be Amidakuji (JP: 阿弥陀籤) by Chogakusei, while the ending theme will be ACTION by eill. Portions of both tracks can be heard in the PV, and comments from the artists have been posted on the official website.

Based on the manga by Yura Urushibara, serialized in Weekly Shonen Champion (Akita Shoten) and boasting over 4 million copies in circulation, Tougen Anki reimagines the classic Japanese folktale Momotaro as a new-generation dark hero story depicting the clash between descendants of Oni blood and Momotaro blood.
