Originally broadcast on April 7, 1995, “Mobile Suit Gundam Wing” was the second installment in the "Alternate Universe" series that explored a setting distinct from the Universal Century timeline. The anime begins with a dramatic sequence where five Gundams launch a surprise attack against a dominant power, setting the stage for a relentlessly intense story that continues through to the finale. It was also the first Gundam series to be aired in the United States.
