Sequel to "Ace of Diamond act II" Anime Confirmed, Celebratory Illustration Released

The production of a sequel to the TV anime "Ace of Diamond act II" has been confirmed.

The "Ace of Diamond" anime series, which celebrated its 10th anniversary last fall, is based on the highly popular manga by Yuji Terajima and has been airing since 2013. The story follows the protagonist Eijun Sawamura (voiced by Ryota Ohsaka), who enrolls in the prestigious Seidou High School, aiming to reach the national high school baseball championship alongside teammates Kazuya Miyuki (voiced by Takahiro Sakurai), Furuya Satoru (voiced by Nobunaga Shimazaki), and Haruichi Kominato (voiced by Natsuki Hanae).

"Ace of Diamond" is a popular work that has also been adapted into stage plays and has many fans in the professional baseball world. Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Dodgers, for example, was an avid reader of the manga during his student years and was inspired to become a professional baseball player.

The original manga "Ace of Diamond act II" concluded its 16-year serialization in Weekly Shonen Magazine two years ago. Fans had long awaited the continuation of the anime adaptation, and the announcement of the sequel has finally been made. To celebrate the decision, original author Yuji Terajima released a congratulatory illustration.

While the "sequel production decision" has been announced, other details remain a mystery, with more information to be revealed in the future.
