The first volume of the Blu-ray & DVD for the 7th season of the TV anime "My Hero Academia" (airing every Saturday at 5:30 PM) will be released on July 17th.
In the episode broadcast on the 11th, the second episode (Episode 140), a fierce battle unfolded between Tomura Shigaraki (voiced by Kouki Uchiyama), the central villain, and America's No. 1 Hero, Star and Stripe (voiced by Romi Park), raising fans' and viewers' expectations and excitement for the upcoming story. The series trended on social media, generating significant buzz.
Amidst this excitement, the release of the Blu-ray & DVD series for the 7th season of "My Hero Academia" has been confirmed. The cover, illustrated by character designer Yoshihiko Umakoshi, has been revealed, featuring a visual that hints at the upcoming battles between Deku and Shigaraki in season 7.
The first volume includes episodes 1 through 7 of season 7 (total episodes 139 to 145). It starts with the battle between Shigaraki and Star and Stripe and moves towards the final showdown between the heroes and the villains.
As a limited first edition bonus, the volume will include a booklet featuring an interview between Kouki Uchiyama and Romi Park, character design materials, a set of postcards designed with rare original animation frames, and a bonus disc containing an anime-original episode "U.A. Heroes Battle" where the students of Class 1-A at U.A. High School engage in a card battle. The second volume will be released on October 16, and the third volume on December 18.
The series is based on a popular manga with over 85 million copies in circulation. It is set in a world where it is normal for people to have supernatural abilities known as "Quirks." The protagonist, Izuku Midoriya (Deku), aims to become a "Hero" to protect society and confront criminals who misuse their Quirks. He grows along with his classmates at the prestigious hero-training high school, U.A. High School.
