Tsuchiya, Nakamura, and Sugita play the three male characters who enter Sam’s life. Shinba Tsuchiya, known for roles like Shuji Ito in Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX and Shoutaro Futaba in Bakuten!!, will voice Marshall Law, the very YouTuber who criticized Sam’s game and happens to be her new neighbor. Yuichi Nakamura, renowned for playing Gojo Satoru in Jujutsu Kaisen and Ichiban Ume in WIND BREAKER, takes on the role of Charles Jones, Sam’s boss. Tomokazu Sugita, celebrated for his versatility in roles like Taro Sakamoto in SAKAMOTO DAYS and Hajime Kudou in Kowloon Generic Romance, will voice Link Hudson, Sam’s childhood friend.

The teaser PV offers a first listen to the voices of the main cast. The anime also made its presence felt at Anime Expo 2025, held in Los Angeles from July 3–6, with a special premiere event that included an advance screening of Episode 1. Original creator Leeanne M. Krecic, director Daiki Tomiyasu, and producers Minaka Sakamoto, Hana Sugawara, and Heather Horn took the stage at the "Let’s Play Special Premiere with the Creators," sharing behind-the-scenes stories and their vision for the anime’s global appeal.

Director Tomiyasu highlighted a fun tidbit: “When casting the voice of Sam’s dog, Bowser, I chose the actor with the best barking performance from my work on Pokémon. I hope you’ll enjoy it.” Sugawara also hinted at unique musical elements: “We can’t share too much yet, but the anime features a distinctive sound. The in-show game ‘Luminate’ has music inspired by city pop.”

— On Their Characters
Marshall Law (voiced by Shinba Tsuchiya)
“Marshall is a popular gaming streamer, and honestly, I’m not very good at games myself (laughs). But I really relate to his passion and how he pours his energy into the things he loves. I want to portray his honesty and enthusiasm with great care.”

Charles Jones (voiced by Yuichi Nakamura)
“He’s not exactly cold, but more like someone quietly assessing those around him. He’s a cool-headed character, but I believe his actions are driven by a personal philosophy—though that’s not immediately obvious. I try to portray him as someone who’s grounded in his own idea of what's right.”

Link Hudson (voiced by Tomokazu Sugita)
“I don’t think I’m anything like him. Maybe that’s why he’s fun to explore. I imagine him struggling to express his feelings in front of someone he loves, and I want to build my performance around those quiet emotional moments.”
