The story and preview stills for Episode 1 of the anime Ruri Rocks (JP: 瑠璃の宝石, Ruri no Houseki) have been released. The episode will premiere in Japan on Sunday, July 6 at 9:30 PM JST and will become available on international streaming platforms soon after.

Episode 1

Ruri Tanigawa, a high school girl who adores all things shiny, falls in love at first sight with a crystal pendant. Declaring, "I can find one too!", she heads to the mountains. There, she meets Nagi Arato, a graduate student majoring in mineralogy, and the two begin collecting minerals together. Awed by the natural world, Ruri becomes fully immersed in the thrill of mineral collecting. She and Nagi then set out to the riverbank in search of garnet.
