In a heartfelt post, the 36-year-old expressed his gratitude to fans for their continued support, stating that their encouragement has allowed him to continue dedicating himself to his craft as an actor.

I’m happy to report the birth of a new life. Thanks to the thoughts and support of everyone who has stood by me, I am able to face each day as an actor with commitment and passion. Born on December 6 in Miyagi Prefecture and blood type A, Shimazaki won the Best New Actor Award at the 7th Seiyu Awards in 2013. He has since become a prominent figure in the voice acting world, recognized for his performances as Haruka Nanase in Free!, Hyuse in World Trigger, Ritsuka Fujimaru in Fate/Grand Order, and Mahito in Jujutsu Kaisen.

Shimazaki announced his marriage to a non-celebrity woman on January 1, 2023.
