Voice actors Kazuki Kato and Yuma Uchida, former Takarazuka Revue Cosmos Troupe top star and actress Yuga Yamato, and flutist/model Cocomi appeared at the stage greeting held in Tokyo on the 24th to commemorate the release of the anime film Mirage QUEEN Elegant Vacations (JP: 怪盗クイーンの優雅な休暇（バカンス）).

Yuma Uchida, who voices RD—the world’s most advanced artificial intelligence—captured the crowd's attention during the opening remarks with a witty self-introduction: “I call myself the world’s greatest voice actor,” drawing laughter and smiles from the audience.

Discussing his character RD, Uchida emphasized, “RD may be AI, but I can’t help feeling like he has emotions. That’s the strong impression I get while playing him.” Reflecting on the rapid advancement of AI technology, Uchida continued, “These days, when you talk to AI, it’ll respond like, ‘Hey there! How are you?’ It wouldn’t be surprising if RD, being the world’s most advanced AI, continues to evolve. I get the sense RD actually enjoys speaking in a robotic tone,” impressing original author Kaoru Hayamine.

The film is based on the Mirage QUEEN adventure novel series by Kaoru Hayamine and K2 Shoukai, which has sold over 1.3 million copies since its debut in 2002 via Kodansha's Aoitori Bunko label. Following the success of the first theatrical OVA Mirage QUEEN Prefers Circus—released in 2022 to mark the 20th anniversary—the new film marks the franchise’s second anime adaptation.

Story

A fake challenge letter from Mirage QUEEN is sent to Satchmo Wilson, leading to a grand heist aboard the luxurious Royal Satchmo cruise ship.

Knowing it's a trap, QUEEN and Joker infiltrate the ship in perfect disguise, only to discover that another "Mirage QUEEN" is already on board.

As if that wasn’t enough, the duo encounters Princess Irma of the Kingdom of Guco, a lifelong admirer of QUEEN, and soon find themselves entangled in an unexpected, high-stakes adventure.

The newly released second key visual showcases the airship Troubadour and the Royal Satchmo, featuring QUEEN, Joker, Princess Irma, and a colorful cast of eccentric characters aboard the luxurious cruise ship.
